The Chargers softball team faced a very strong Montrose team on Friday, but fought well against fast pitching and a very good hitting team. Despite the 21-3 loss, CHCH made many impressive plays in the field, including deep outfield catches by Juliette Dent '16 and Stephanie Andrade '16. Brianne Moore '14 made all three outs of the third inning, which included a heads up tag play, followed by a pop up double play. Em Arbetter once agan pitched extremely well, allowing only one walk in 36 batters. Emilee Purdy '13 broke up the Montrose no hitter with an earned hit for the Chargers in the last inning. The team looks forward to finishing strong in the last two games of the season next week.
