“The first time he read it, he was so moved by it he stood on the chair to read it because he felt it was so powerful,” said Maura Henry, ELL Teacher. “For a lot of them, this is their first time speaking out loud to the class.”
During the Winter Expo, members of the English Language Learners Program were tasked with choosing a famous poem and reciting it out loud. The activity was designed to help students learn about analyzing poetry and English pronunciation.
