William "Mo" Cowan Visit

NHS and SOCA were honored to host William "Mo" Cowan as one of our distinguished speakers for Black History Month on February 26 during class meeting, followed by a Q&A session.

Senator Cowan, a prominent American politician and lawyer, served as a United States Senator from Massachusetts in 2013. Before his Senate appointment, he was the legal counsel and chief of staff to Governor Deval Patrick. Throughout his career, Mr. Cowan has been a trailblazer, becoming the eighth African-American U.S. Senator and the second from Massachusetts after Edward Brooke.

His reflections on leadership and civic engagement were truly inspiring, and we are grateful for the opportunity to have engaged in such a meaningful discussion. Thank you, Senator Cowan, for sharing your insights with our community!
